Safe and durable installation work thanks to highly qualified systems
Mapei proposes three different families of products for installation work for three different types of situation. Rapid adhesives perfectly compatible with stone sensitive to contact with moisture, such as marble: Keraquick Maxi S1, Granirapid and Elastorapid.
Deformable, normal-setting adhesives for larger formats and stone that remains stable upon contact with water: Keraflex Maxi S1 and Ultralite S1.
Adhesives for installation on non-conventional substrates, such as metal, wood and PVC: Keralastic and Ultrabond Eco PU 2K.
To complete the installation cycle Mapei offers three different types of grout for various areas of use: Ultracolor Plus cementitious grouting mortar for filling grouts, Mapesil LM sealant for sealing joints and Kerapoxy Easy Design epoxy resin-based grout for application in settings exposed to chemical products.
Installation by Mapei on problem substrates
The experience matured by Mapei over its 85-year history working alongside designers and clients on sites all around has enabled us to develop solutions suitable for even the most complex and critical situations.
Mapeguard UM 35, for example, is an anti-fracture membrane recommended for the installation of new flooring on cracked or slightly damp substrates.
The waterproofing products Mapelastic and Mapeguard WP 200 are recommended for protecting stone against contact with water, particularly in damp surroundings.
Complementary products for installation work
The range of Mapei installation solutions is completed by the complementary products available to help create comfortable, functional and long-lasting surroundings efficiently and in a practical way: Mapeguard Board is a high-density polystyrene panel used to create substrates for bathroom fittings and to make walls more regular; MapeLevel is a range of tile levelling systems and spacers to help install tiles more easily, more quickly and more precisely and to prevent lippage between adjacent tiles.
