MAPESTONE JOINT is a one-component, solvent-free polyurethane binder with a characteristic odour, designed for sealing joints between blocks, setts, and cobblestones in flexible and pervious architectural stone road surfaces that require vibro-compaction. MAPESTONE JOINT is recommended by UNI 11714-1:2018 for use in classes P4, P5, P6, P7, and P8, and prescribed by the same standard for class P9. It allows the construction of sound-absorbing stone surfaces that can be opened to traffic just 48 hours after installation at +20 °C. MAPESTONE PFS2 VISCO is the pre-blended mortar recommended for grouting concrete slabs and blocks of concrete to create paving with better performance properties than traditional technology. The product is available in a neutral version for decorative paving made from light coloured stone elements and in a dark grey version , ideal for decorative paving made from darker coloured stone .
It is used to install particularly thick and/or trapezoidal shaped paving elements on compact installation beds, recommended by UNI 11714-1:2018 for classes P4, P5, P6, P7 and P8 and prescribed by the same standard for class P9. Used to install highly durable paving in areas that may get saturated or that are exposed to freeze/thaw cycles where de-icing salts and seawater are present (exposure classes XF4 and XS3 according to EN 206). It is used to install paving elements with an even or irregular thickness and particularly thick and/or trapezoidal shaped elements on compact installation beds, recommended by UNI 11714-1:2018 for classes P4, P5, P6, P7 and P8 and prescribed by the same standard for class P9. It allows to install architectural stone paving with high durability even in environments subject to rain , to freeze-thaw cycles in the presence of de-icing salts and seawater (environmental conditions classified by EN 206 standard as XF4 and XS3 ).
