Mapei presents Keraflex S1 Evolution Zero

The cementitious adhesive combines high performance and certified sustainability

Mapei presents Keraflex S1 Evolution Zero at Cersaie 2025, the new high-performance, deformable (S1) cementitious adhesive designed to meet the needs of professional installers and the environment.

Keraflex S1 Evolution Zero is the ideal choice for environmentally conscious designers. Thanks to its optimised formula with low carbon footprint binders, this adhesive guarantees a significant reduction in GWP (Global Warming Potential) amounting to just 200 grams per kg of product: over 35% less greenhouse gas emissions than a traditional C2S1 adhesive. Furthermore, with over 20% recycled material, it makes a tangible contribution to meeting the minimum environmental criteria (CAM) for construction. All these features make it perfect for LEED, BREEAM, CAM and other sustainability certification protocols, where every choice counts toward reducing environmental impact and building more responsibly.

The new adhesive is part of Mapei's Zero Line ^[1]: the range of products whose residual CO₂ emissions, calculated over the entire life cycle of the product, are fully offset through the purchase of certified carbon credits to support international forest protection projects. Keraflex S1 Evolution Zero guarantees a high level of technical performance: thanks to its dual rheology it is a versatile and easy-to-use adhesive for installers, even in the summer season it ensures maximum benefit by simplifying installation. Suitable for floors and walls, in residential, commercial and public environments its excellent workability, makes installers’ daily work easier, providing a reliable, long-lasting and sustainable solution.

Mapei has always been committed to an increasingly sustainable way of building, working in its research & development laboratories to reduce the carbon footprint of its formulations and offer quality, durable and sustainable products, formulated with innovative, ultra-lightweight raw materials, including recycled materials, developed to reduce energy consumption and with very low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC). To measure the environmental impact of products, Mapei applies the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology, the results of which are verified, reported and published in certified documents, the Environmental Product Declarations (EPD).
